Rooney would be welcomed with open hands, Ronald Koeman

Wayne Rooney hasnt started a Premier League game for his Manchester United side ever since their loss to Watford as he has been relegated to the bench for matches against Leicester City, stoke city, Liverpool and more recently Chelsea.
Koeman was speaking on friday before Sunday’s Premier League visit of West Ham and when  asked how likely it might be that Rooney returns to Everton, he said: “First of all, I think it is a great player and he has still not finished his career.

When then asked if he was surprised by some of the criticism Rooney has had, Koeman added: “That is part of football. He is enough of an experienced person in football that he knows what can happen and everybody gets periods of critics.
“It is part of football and of the business and you need to stay calm. That is the best thing you can do.”
However, Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has earlier claimed that he will not sell Rooney and that Rooney would only leave the club when he feels like doing so.
