Ozil names Mertesacker his Arsenal Role Model

Mesut Ozil has labelled his compatriot Per Mertesacker his Role Model. Mesut Ozil says he admires the way the Arsenal Captain conducts himself on and off the pitch and wishes to have him playing once more.

Per mertesacker is yet to play a single game for Arsenal this season as he recovers from the injury he suffered during the pre-season.
“I’ve known Per for a while, because we’ve played together in Bremen, for the national team and here too,” Ozil told Arsenal Player.
“Off the pitch, he watches the games and comes into the dressing room. He’s just a role model and we’re pleased to have him here. I want him to get fit again and back on the pitch as quickly as possible.
“I sincerely hope that he comes back really quickly.”
Ozil is currently on International duty with Germany as they prepare to face Czech Republic and Northern Ireland.
