Ander Herrera earns his first Spain call up.

 Ander Herrera was drifted into the Spain squad due to the injury to Javi Martinez and Atletico Madrid Saul Niguez and he wasted no time in reporting to the training base in Spain.

The 27-year-old happened to be on holiday with his family in Madrid when he was drafted into Julen Lopetegui’s plans and it took the Manchester united midfielder 45mins to report at the training camp.
However, due to the prompt response by Herrera he forgot to bring his boots along.
He had to buy new pair of boots to be able to train with his spain team mates.
Spain face Italy later today and then Albania three days later.
