In a match which saw the Real Madrid trio miss a lot of passes and chances, Alvaro Morata was sent on from the bench and he scored what turned out to be the decisive goal of the game.
Madrid started well as it took the Los Blancos team just seven minutes to take the lead as Isco pulled back a low cross which Benzema fired into the net after he had been setup by a long ball from Marcelo.
The lead would only last 20 minutes as Sabin equalized after the Real Madrid defence failed to clear their lines.
Madrid would go on to miss a lot of chances thereafter with a lot of sloppy passes and finishing.
Lucas Vasquez and Alvaro Morata were introduced in the second half and it brought back spark to the Real Madrid team as Real Madrid were able to get their lead back at the 83rd minute.
Morata's goal takes Madrid to 1st on the table a point above Sevilla and 2 points above Barcelona who are 2nd and 3rd on the table respectively.
Madrid take on Leonesa in the Copa del Rey on 26th and then return to the league to play Fc Alaves.
